About Me

Who Am I ?

I’m Dana Elena M and I’m a Start-Up coach. My purpose in life is to bring aliveness to people I connect with. By aliveness, I mean many things like hope, passion, love, acceptance, gratitude, action, curiosity, purpose, honesty, empathy, compassion, authenticity, vulnerability, and drive. My passion in life is to help stay-at home moms feel empowered by offering them coaching and grow their own businesses. This is a passion that has been cultivated throughout my life by my personal experience as both a mother and an entrepreneur, as well as my deep-rooted desire to help people in becoming the best possible version of themselves. I’m a Certified Co-active Coach, a Mental Fitness Coach and a Certified OKR Practitioner.

My Journey

My journey in doing what I do today has started with my first yoga session. In a moment of stillness, I realized that I needed help doing the changes that I wanted in my life. I had not been in a serious relationship for the previous nine years and I was dissatisfied with my job and myself. I went to work with a therapist, and we did CBT together. She helped me identify my negative thoughts and behaviors. A year after working together during a routine check-up I found that I might have cancer.Read More

The doctor told me to come after 6 months to see if it progresses to cancer or if everything goes back to normal. I spent those six months re-evaluating my life and thinking that the dreams I had of having a family might never come true if things turned to worse.

I was lucky that I had my therapist to help me get through these trying times. One month later I went to India to a yoga retreat where I met a woman who was doing Reiki – healing though energy – and she told me that I too can do the same. At that moment, it felt like just what I needed. When I returned home, I did a Google search and registered for a Reiki course the following weekend. Reiki was my second step in my journey. It helped me not only have an excellent result six month later, it helped me heal old wounds, and learn to start loving and accepting myself.

Two years later I become a Reiki Master. With all the changes that happened to me, I found out that working and connecting with people is what I’m drawn to. My therapist told me about coaching, how I could make a difference by becoming a coach. The following weekend, I enrolled in a coaching program with the most prestigious coaching school named CTI. Wow, what an experience! From the first day I knew that had found my calling – this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. It took one year to become a certified coach.

During all this time since my journey have started, I have changed my job, I was on top of my corporate career, and I had met the man I wanted to marry. After completing my coaching certification, I felt disconnected from my daily job. I knew that working with people as a coach was what I was passionate about and best at. After few months of going back and forth I finally decided to start coaching on my own and leave the corporate world. Like with all new start-ups it took me time to build up my practice, at that time I was only doing life coaching.

Slowly but surely, through contacts and references I managed to acquire few clients. A few months into coaching, I found out that I was pregnant. I was over the moon: my dream of having a husband and a child had materialized. It was never too late. I had become a mother at 44 years old.

The first year of my son’s life I dedicated my time to him. As he grew older, I felt the longing to come back to my passion, connecting deeply with people. Soon after a fellow coach told me about positive intelligence coaching, about the 6 weeks Mental Fitness Program and asked me to do it together. I saw it as a sign. It was my segue back to coaching. In less than a year, I became a certified Positive Intelligence coach.

There is one last step I haven’t mentioned till now. It is related to business coaching. In the last company I worked with, we had hired a coach to help us grow our business. He was a Business Coach who and he worked closely with the senior management team I was part of to implement OKR coaching across the company. I implemented it with my team daily and experienced the benefits of it. Apart from making our company successful, it made us more focused, more organized, and more confident in our capabilities.

When coming back to coaching after having my baby, to build up my practice, I relied on the three pillars I was most confident about:

1. Mental fitness daily practice to maintain a positive mindset
2. Business coaching to concentrate on what really matters, create goals and work relentlessly to achieve them
3. Life coaching to remove my doubts, my fears, my limiting beliefs and create the best version of me, to be courageous, driven and focused.

I am able to offer my program confidently to other stay-at-home moms is because I know it works. I using it for my business and for my clients’ businesses for the past few years. It has a holistic approach, it combines all facets of a person life: mind, soul and business.
I believe in the life-changing powers of coaching because I have experienced life-changing, powerful coaching myself.
